Niwot High School offers a rigorous college preparatory curriculum and advanced level coursework that consists of Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP), and Niwot Pre-IB (NPIB)/Honors courses. In addition, students have the option to participate in concurrent enrollment which allows them to explore a variety of college courses. Niwot High School was a top ranked public school in the Washington Post’s 2019 ranking of America’s most challenging schools and was recognized by The Denver Business Journal as a top-10 high school in the Denver Metro area. Niwot High School received the John Irwin Award for academic achievement 11 times since 2002. NHS students are supported and challenged by an award winning staff including Colorado Principal of the Year, Cross Country Coach of the Year, Tennis Coach of the Year, and Koebel Enterprising Teacher of the Year.
