Bio:
Before taking over Niwot Football, Coach Nik Blume spent 7 years at Lutheran High School in Parker, Colorado where he taught Health and Physical Education along with coaching Football and Track. During his tenure at Lutheran, Nik was a part of two football playoff appearances and 6 Colorado State Track and Field Championships. Nik received his Bachelor’s in Teaching from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2013 while coaching football as a Varsity assistant and Defensive Coordinator at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School in Jackson, Wisconsin from 2008-2013.
Coach Blume took over as the Head Coach of Niwot Football in February of 2020. In 2021, the program won 4 games for the first time since 2008 and are coming off a 3-7 campaign in 2022 which saw two close losses take away a bid at a .500 campaign for the first time 14 years. In Coach Blume’s tenure the numbers in the football program have grown from roughly 30 athletes in 2020 to 54 athletes in 2022. In 2022 the St. Vrain Valley School District followed through on a multimillion dollar stadium upgrade, installing new Musco Lighting and a top of the line Cool Play Turf Football Field. These upgrades allowed our program to host its first ever Varsity home football game for Homecoming in the Fall.
