Volunteer Opportunities

NHS receives many requests for volunteers.  This page will list and update the requests on a regular basis.

Many of our students have service requirements:

  • NHS IB DP students (grades 11 and 12) engage in service as part of their IB Diploma requirement called CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service).
  • NPIB students (grades 9 and 10) are required to complete 25 hours of voluntary service to the community in preparation for their participation in the IBDP and completing CAS.
  • National Honor Society Members are required to perform 48 service hours during the school year:  8 School Hours, 8 Community Hours, 32 Personal Volunteer Hours

We do like to hear about our students' performance when they are engaging in the community. So, if you have any feedback for us please do not hesitate to share it with us.

We look forward to your feedback and assisting you in promoting future community service opportunities to our students.

Request for Volunteer Form:  If you are providing an opportunity for volunteers,  please complete this form and send to Michelle Baker at baker_michelle@svvsd.org.
