Each spring, the Education Foundation for the St. Vrain Valley hosts the Tribute to Teachers, an event that honors and recognizes the excellence of our teachers and brings out the stories of the superheroes in our district that go above and beyond. On May 4, 2019, the Education Foundation will be hosting the Tribute to Teachers at the Westin Hotel and Conference Center in Westminster.
The Career Development Center (CDC) is the Career and Technical Education (CTE) center for the St. Vrain School District and is one of eight CTE centers in the state of Colorado. CDC offers classes that provide real-world, hands-on experiences in pathways that are high-wage, high-growth, high-demand, and with a post-secondary trajectory.
In this month's issue of the Learning Technology Plan Family Connections Newsletter, we offer suggestions for establishing healthy bedtime routines for teens and their families, and we invite you to join us for a parent workshop hosted in partnership with Dr. Devorah Heitner that will focus on challenges and opportunities around technology use.
It has already been an outstanding year of growth and success across St. Vrain Valley Schools. Day after day, we hear of numerous student achievements, teacher accolades, industry partnerships, grant awards, and so many more recognitions that are building significant momentum behind our world-class education system. This year, St. Vrain Valley Schools continues to see significant advancements in academic achievement. Specifically: four-year graduation rates have continued to increase with among the highest requirements in the state; test scores, achievement, and participation with the SAT, ACT, CMAS, Advanced Placement, and International Baccalaureate continues to rise; numerous students are earning many highly-competitive and prestigious scholarships, all of which has garnered statewide and national acclaim for St. Vrain Valley Schools and our entire community.
The St. Vrain Valley Schools’ Senior Volunteer Program is once again available for the 2018-2019 school year. The program began in November 2012 to welcome seniors and individuals with disabilities into our schools and provide them financial assistance with their county property taxes. Up to 200 participants will be paid a maximum of 40 hours at $11.10 per hour for a total of $444 between January 2, 2019 and April 30, 2019.

Watch our students' showcase their talent and hard work. Performances are open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend.
