Experience the works of Shakespeare through text, film, and live performance. This course explores tragedies, histories, comedies, and romances. The author’s influence on literature, the arts, and world culture will be examined, along with Elizabethan/Jacobean history, fashion, food, and customs. Besides reading the plays/sonnets, students will perform scenes, create videos and multi-media presentations, write their own verse, and attend live plays.
