IB Diploma Programme

“The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.” (IBO, Mission Statement)

Exclusive only to Niwot High School in SVVSD, the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is an internationallyrecognized prestigious college preparatory program for all interested students of the St. Vrain Valley Schools. Authorized in 2001, Niwot High School offers the IB Diploma Programme (IB DP) during grades 11 & 12 as well as the Niwot Pre-IB (NPIB) for 9th and 10th grade students. Our outstanding faculty is highly trained to prepare our IB DP candidates for university entrance and success. Our success rate is second to none and proven by many IB graduates who have earned 24 or more college credits prior to college entrance. Please view the video above in which NHS's graduates describe why to IB  and why to IB at NHS.
