Mass Media/Film

The history, technology, and impact of mass media on our culture. Units of study include newspapers, books, magazines, radio, recorded music, television, film, advertising, and the Internet. Special emphasis will be placed on analyzing classic film techniques. Students will be evaluated through quizzes, tests, oral presentations, and analytical writing. Note: This course does not meet NCAA academic eligibility requirements.
