IB Physics SL A/B

IB Physics SL is an introductory course in algebra-based physics, lasting two semesters. The primary goal of this course is to provide a comprehensive introduction to physics while using 40 hours classroom lab work that will enhance the appreciation and understanding of the basic principles involved and the ability to use these principles to solve problems. Topics covered include mechanics, thermal physics, oscillations and waves, electricity and magnetism, atomic and nuclear physics, and a study of energy, power and climate interactions. This class will complete the requirements for IB Physics SL or the 1st year of Physics HL.
