IB 20th Century History A/B

IB 20th Century History is the SL history course and, when combined with IB History of Europe, completes the requirements for History HL. This IB course focuses on the causes, practices, and results of war, and the events of the Cold War. Topics include the World Wars, the Russian Revolution, the rise of dictators, Cold War conflicts such as the Cuban Missile Crisis, the War in Afghanistan, the Iran-Iraq War, the Space and Arms Race, and the fall of the USSR. The focus of the course is global competition during the 20th Century. This course will prepare students for papers 1, 2, and 3 in IB History.
