College Preparatory Physics A/B

The first semester of this lab-based class will consist of the study of mechanics. This will include the study of (A) the constant speed model, (B) the constant acceleration model, (C) the Free Particle Model (Newton’s 1st, 3rd law), (D) the constant force model, (E) the impulse/momentum model, and (F) the energy model. The second semester of physics will include the study of electricity, waves, and sound, and electromagnetic waves. Laboratory work will involve dataacquisition and data analysis. The mathematics used in this course will include algebra, geometry, and basic trigonometry.
