U.S. and Colorado Government A/B

This course prepares students to be active citizens using a working knowledge of government. Topics include the Constitution and the branches of government, as well as federal, state, and local levels of U. S. Government. Other units include the responsibilities of citizenship in the family and community, economics, world political systems, discovery of a student’s individual political ideology, and a civic field experience. Students will integrate current news items with textbook chapters for class discussions, and use technology and skills from their English classes to research and present their own views.
