United States History A/B

U.S. History covers the basic historical growth of the United States with an emphasis on the 20th century. Topics of study include the Depression Era, the World Wars, the Cold War, the Civil Rights Movement and much more! The role of government is explored throughout the study of historical events. The course is structured around social studies standards and objectives. These standards and objectives are interwoven with content and selected issues in history. Students will study themes of history by exploring and analyzing primary and secondary historical archives. A variety of teaching methods are used and substantial student reading is required.
