Spanish 1 A/B

This course is designed for students who want an introduction to a second language and its culture. Its intent is to expose students to the four basic language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—and to a culture different from their own. The course includes grammar concepts, vocabulary, culture, and speaking activities. By the end of the year, students should be proficient enough to make purchases, order food, and carry on simple conversations and brief written dialogues about hobbies, sports, families, classes, and other basic events of everyday life.
