NPIB French 1 A/B

This course provides an introduction to the language and culture of the French-speaking world. It is designed for students who are enrolled in the NPIB program and are intending to take four years of French in preparation for the Language B Standard Level Exam. Instruction is focused on the areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening. The class provides a foundation in grammar and vocabulary, so that students can begin to express themselves in accurate, basic written and spoken French about subjects from everyday life. Students are encouraged to create and present dialogues and express themselves orally in brief exchanges and guided speaking activities.
