IB Spanish 4 A/B

The main focus of IB Spanish 4 is to demonstrate proficiency at an advanced level. In the first semester, students will continue their study of more complex Spanish grammar and will increase their vocabulary through reading in Spanish. Students will be able to discuss topics such as personal relationships, media and technology, global issues, and cultural customs. The second semester of IB Spanish will focus on intense preparation for the SL Spanish exam. Assessment will be based on performance in the areas of interpersonal, interpretive and presentational communication, and comprehension. This will include both teacher-designed and IB exams. Class activities will include oral presentations, writings of different text types, vocabulary acquisition, and grammar instruction. This class will be conducted in Spanish.
